You Already Have What It Takes. You’re Missing the Plan.
The CEO blueprint dental hygienists and trained myofunctional therapists use to build wildly profitable practices — without giving up nights, weekends, or sanity.
Hi, I’m Carmen.
If you’re a dental hygienist exhausted by the chair — or a trained therapist with an empty calendar — you already know clinical skill alone won’t pay the bills.
What you need is the business side nobody taught you. The pricing. The marketing. The systems. The CEO skills that turn a calling into a career.
I built mine the hard way. You don’t have to.

COMMON QUESTIONS
The Real Questions People Ask Me
What is myofunctional therapy?
Myofunctional therapy is a specialized clinical practice that retrains the muscles of the face, mouth, and tongue to function correctly. It addresses issues like tongue ties, mouth breathing, snoring, sleep apnea, and improper swallowing patterns. It’s a growing field — and a profitable one when you know how to run the business side.
Can dental hygienists do myofunctional therapy?
Yes. Dental hygienists are uniquely positioned to add myofunctional therapy to their skill set or pivot into it full time. Your clinical foundation gives you a head start most other practitioners don’t have. The training is the easy part. The business side is where most stop — and where I come in.
Do you need a certification to do myofunctional therapy?
No. Myofunctional therapy does not require a certification to practice in most states. Certification is an option, but it’s not required and it doesn’t guarantee success — implementation does. What matters is clinical competence (which LMT60 teaches) and the business skills to actually make a living from it (which PMT teaches).
Why aren’t I getting myofunctional therapy clients??
Because clinical training doesn’t teach the business. Most programs end at “here’s how to assess a tongue tie” — but knowing the clinical work and knowing how to fill a calendar are two completely different skill sets. The CEO skills nobody covered in your training are usually the exact gap keeping you stuck.
How much do myofunctional therapists earn?
It depends entirely on how you set up the business — not how skilled you are clinically. My own practice grew from $0 to a peak year of $313,000 as a solo operator with no team. My students range from replacing their hygiene salary to surpassing it. The math is real. The model is repeatable.
How do I start a myofunctional therapy business?
Pick the next step that matches where you are right now. If you’re not yet trained, start with LMT60. If you’re trained but stuck, start with PMT. Not sure which? Book a Get Unstuck Call and we’ll figure it out together.
